The 2025-2026 Cultural Season

Calais's 2025-2026 cultural season promises to be exceptional. With around forty events, the program combines renowned artists, emerging talents, and local offerings. From the Grand Théâtre to the Espace Gérard-Philipe, including Le Channel, the national stage, the city will vibrate all year long to the rhythm of concerts, comedy shows, plays, and contemporary creations. Tickets go on sale on September 13, 2025: a date to remember for culture lovers.

This new season puts Calais on the map of major national cultural events. Among the expected artists:

  • Pirate Heart, the Quebec singer with a pop and poetic universe.
  • Ibrahim Maalouf, genius trumpeter who combines jazz, classical and oriental sounds.
  • Valérie Lemercier, an essential actress and comedian on the French scene.
  • Cherry Calixte, the French voice of Vaiana, who will delight young and old alike.
  • Charlie Couture, a unique figure in song and visual arts.
  • Elie Semoun, a comedian with inimitable energy.

With genres ranging from song to comedy, from jazz to contemporary music, artistic diversity is at the heart of the season.

At the Channel National Scene

Throughout the season, the Channel offers a mosaic of experiences: theater, contemporary dance, circus, current music, visual arts, and festive moments. Highlights include:

  • Léonie Pernet: rising figure of the French electro-pop scene, with his album Poèmes pulvérisés.
  • Barbara Carlotti: great voice of French song, in concert with his new album Chéris ton futur.
  • Fouad Boussouf: This renowned choreographer returns with Fêu, an incandescent dance performed by nine performers.
  • Leïla Ka: rising star of contemporary dance, presents Maldonne, an exploration of the feminine full of strength and grace.
  • Zip Zap Circus: South African troupe with Moya, an acrobatic and urban show celebrating diversity and solar energy.
  • Gandini Juggling: international company of juggling and contemporary magic with Heka.

Festivals and festive events

The season will also be punctuated by essential collective events:

The Great Dance Night of December 31st, free and open to all, to celebrate the New Year.
The Sound Strolls (February 2026), music festival combining local and national scenes.
Wild Encounters (April 2026), which explore the links between art, science and nature.
The Music Festival – The Off (June 2026), festive closing with concerts and DJ sets.
