Bruno, coordinator of the Calais Générosité event in collaboration with the city of Calais, proudly recounts how this exceptional event, born in Saint-Omer fifteen years ago, is today an unmissable event in the festive landscape of Calais. “What we offer here is much more than a show,” he confides. “Calais Générosité is a real highlight in Calais, where generosity and passion come together to welcome up to 40 visitors.”
With keywords like generosity, volunteering, and large-scale event, Bruno describes the scope of the project. The event mobilizes around a hundred people each year, who come together enthusiastically to transform Calais into a place of creativity, humor and acrobatics. “The idea was to create a unique event!” a bit like a big family, where everyone brings their energy and passion to offer the public unforgettable moments. This year, more than ever, the event shines with its international dimension: artists from all over the world, from Mexico to Brazil and all over Europe, will offer their talent to the Calais public.
"It's extraordinary, the 21 performances are almost sold out!" The artists tell us how much they feel at home here. "We've created a real family," explains Bruno, adding that the volunteers work tirelessly to have everything ready in just two weeks.

©Calais Generosity The line-up for this edition is as impressive as it is varied, with spectacular and innovative acts. “We want to offer something unique and different to the public every year.” This year, we will find humor, acrobatics, BMX and even drones! Other new moments await spectators, with the show Dance on the floor, which brings together 17 local dance groups for a show lasting more than 2 hours, an addition which, according to Bruno, “will once again illustrate the scale and diversity of our Calais Generosity.”
He concludes with emotion, “This annual meeting is much more than an event, it is a time of reunion. Every September, we are all eager to meet up again to live and share this adventure together.”
