The Marathon (42,195 km)

The ultimate challenge for endurance enthusiasts, on a spectacular course between city, coastline and wide open spaces. It covers 42,195 km through city, coastline and wide open spaces, alternating between urban sections, sea views and more open crossings. The race will start at 8 a.m. at the Cap Blanc-Nez site. The marathon runners will descend towards Escalles where they will complete a small loop before heading back up towards Cap Blanc-Nez and then towards Sangatte, Coquelles, Blériot-Plage and finally Calais
The Half Marathon (21,1 km)

The start, like the marathon, will be at the Cap Blanc-Nez site. in Escalles. The runners will return to Calais, notably via the Sangatte seawall, offering a breathtaking panorama of the Strait. After a lap of the water at the Tom Souville Base, it will be time to reach the City of the Six Burghers for a finish line also located on the seafront.
The 10km race
Full, waiting list
Fast, festive, popular – ideal for beginners, clubs, or challenges between friends or colleagues. The route is exclusively in Calais and will see the start of the race will be given at the Quai de la Moselle for an arrival judged at the level of the seafront.

Marathon This is the only one of the three races to offer any elevation gain: 189 meters concentrated in the first five kilometers with the climb up the Cran d'Escalles, followed by 296 meters of descent over the entire course. In practical terms, the hardest part is at the start, and once past that point, the course opens up onto significantly flatter sections all the way to Calais.
Time barriers: 8th km: 10am | 12th km: 11 a.m. | 21st km: 14 p.m.
The half marathon The course has no positive elevation gain. Runners enjoy a long descent from Cap Blanc-Nez before joining exclusively flat sections leading to the finish line on the seafront.

The 10 km is completely flat, no elevation changes in this route in the city between the Quai de la Moselle and the seafront.

What awaits you upon arrival at Calais LA Plage
Once the finish line was crossed, the organization had planned for a large area! Each finisher receives a medal Don't forget the official race t-shirt given to you when you collect your race number so you can wear it on race day.
A full refreshment stop is planned upon arrival. The exact lineup will be announced soon, and food trucks will be on site. The organization's physiotherapists will provide post-race massages for participants who need them.

The route runs alongside the vast beaches of Calais, stretching to the horizon and bathed in the unique light of the Opal Coast. You run with the sea as your companion, amidst the salty breeze, golden reflections, and ever-changing skies. The section along the Gaston-Berthe seawall and the view of the Strait of Dover make this course a rare and truly quintessential Calais experience.

The Calais XXL Marathon, It's a race that combines athletic performance, breathtaking scenery, and local identity. In the heart of a season that always promises to be full of excitement, this event is a must-attend for running enthusiasts, nature lovers, and visitors seeking authentic experiences on the... The Opal Coast and its iconic landscapes.
This event is organized by the group North Coast, already behind the Calais Urban Trail and the Urban Trails of Ardres, Coquelles, Hardelot, Dunkirk and Bray-Dunes, among others. It is also and above all the result of a collaborative work between multiple actors : communities, businesses and the sporting world as le Calais Olympic Stadium Athletics, the running specialist Strides, Pas-de-Calais, Carrefour Market Calais Cœur de Vie et Calais XXL, main partner.
Nearly 4,000 participants have already registered for the three races!

The departure of marathon and Half marathon The information is provided from the Dover Patrol at Cap Blanc-Nez. No parking is available on site. Access by car is only possible via the drop-off zone until 7:15 am. Please note that for the drop-off at the top of Cap Blanc-Nez, only one lane of traffic will be open via Escalles. Free shuttle buses are available from the Western Basin in Calais via the Imag'In urban transport network, with a drop-off point available until 7:15 am. This is the only recommended option for arriving safely at the starting line. Shuttles are available for booking until [date missing]. May 18 at midnight via the dedicated linkDeparture times from the Western Basin will be announced after this date, depending on the number of registered passengers. The 10km race will start in the city, at the Quai de la Moselle in Calais.
Please note that most roads will be closed to traffic for the duration of the event. However, safe crossings, supervised by our marshals and law enforcement, will be provided.

Bib collection will take place from June 1st to June 27th inclusive. The locations and times for bib collection will be announced in the coming days.
Among the planned collection points: the Calais XXL Tourist Office, next June.
Are there any race bibs left for the three Calais XXL races? + -
Le 10 km et Half marathon are full. However, a waiting list may allow you to obtain a bib in case of additions or cancellations.
Registration is open online via the official Adeorun ticketing website. For the marathon, expect to pay €50 ; the semi is at €30and the 10 km at €15.
Register / Waiting listAre there any supplies available? Do we need a container? And what about waste? + -
Water and food stations will be available throughout the marathon and half-marathon. There will be only one aid station on the 10km course. Details of what will be available at the aid stations will be announced soon. It is recommended to bring your own container for drinks, although cups will be available at the water stations.
To preserve the beauty of the natural areas along the route, designated waste disposal areas will be set up and marked. Please respect them.
