The City of Calais, in partnership with OMSL, SO Calais Athletics and Calais Terre d'Opale Trail, is organizing the first edition of the Trail des Forteresses, a unique sporting event starting from the mythical site of the Citadel.
This timed race combines an increasingly popular competitive sport with a run through iconic sites in the city of Calais, aiming to showcase or rediscover the richness of our local heritage. The registration fee includes: a race bib, a race t-shirt, a free drink, and refreshments at the finish line.
The start and finish of the races will be organized within the Citadel, with a spectacular finale on the athletics track which will allow the runners to benefit from the encouragement of their family and the spectators who will be able to take their seats in the stands of the structure.
Organizing a friendly and festive event is a priority: musical entertainment, quality facilities, post-race refreshments, prizes and awards for each category – everything will be in place to offer participants a great sporting experience in a warm atmosphere of camaraderie and personal achievement. The competitive spirit will also be present, with electronic chip timing essential for managing the rankings. The results will be published on the City of Calais website.
400 places available for the 5km race, 600 places for the 12km race.
