Three universes

An extra-large space for board game enthusiasts

It all began when two young entrepreneurs opened their first shop on Boulevard Gambetta. La Caverne du Jeu quickly became a must-visit for board game and collectible card enthusiasts. Customers flocked to the shop, its reputation grew, and three years later, the business moved to Boulevard Lafayette into a space twice the size, with an entire floor dedicated to games… and even a bar!

As the 250 m² of the old premises became too small, in November 2025 the adventure took on a new dimension with the opening of a large-scale concept store on Boulevard Jacquard, offering a further doubling of space.

A unique experience in Calais

With its three complementary themes, this new concept store offers much more than just a shop: it's a place to live, share, and discover. Whether you're a gamer, a foodie, a collector, or simply curious, everyone will find something to enjoy. A rare find on the Opal Coast, don't miss this fun and delicious experience in Calais!

The first part of the store remains true to its core identity: a large area dedicated to board games, boasting 4,000 to 5,000 titles. A mezzanine can accommodate up to 80 players for game nights, introductory sessions, or tournaments. Over 400 games are available for demonstration, and everyone can try them out, compare them, and discover new ones… all while enjoying a drink from the on-site bar. The space can also be booked for private events, including seminars, workshops, and other gatherings.

The cave of Asgard

The kingdom of trading cards

The third section, named The Cave of Asgard in reference to Norse mythology, will delight collectors. Here, you'll find the famous Pokémon cards, of course, but also other manga licenses and, as in the United States, cards featuring athletes. The shop offers: individual card purchases or card packs, card appraisals, resale, and grading (creation of an official rating).

An unmissable event for all enthusiasts and a rare space on the Opal Coast.

The Cave of Delights

A world tour of sweet treats

The second universe of the concept store: The Cave of Delights.
Make way for flavors from all over the world! Sweets sold by the kilo from all corners of the globe, licensed cartoon treats, but also classic crepes and waffles.
A perfect space for families, curious minds and all those with a sweet tooth looking for new sweet discoveries… quite a crowd, actually!
