A living garden in the city center

Fountain and green spaces

A wooded and peaceful space, the park is crisscrossed by shaded paths where sunlight filters through trees, some of which are centuries old. This canopy gives the place its identity and creates an atmosphere conducive to strolling.

Ideal for family outings, the park offers something for everyone: benches for relaxing, a pétanque court to extend the fun, a large lawn for running around freely, and a dedicated children's playground. In summer, the fountain adorned with the "Three Graces" becomes a welcome spot of coolness, a landmark around which locals and visitors gather.

Opposite Calais Town Hall

Opposite the park stands theCalais City Hall and its belfry, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its neo-Flemish architecture structures the vista and provides a monumental backdrop to the promenade. It is possible to climb to the top of the belfry to enjoy a panoramic view of Calais, its port, and, on a clear day, the English coast. At the foot of the building stands the famous sculpture of... The Burghers of Calais byAuguste Rodin, a tribute to the six notables who sacrificed themselves for the city in the 14th century.
