Remarkable garden
Located in Marck, east of Calais, the Jardin du Beau Pays is a botanical gem thanks to its diversity and originality. This green setting combines passion, expertise, and a change of scenery in a carefully designed setting. This private garden, born from the will of a passionate gardener, invites you on a journey through the plant world. This remarkable site has been labeled a "Remarkable Garden" since 2015.
The Beau Pays Botanical Garden is a 1,5-hectare green haven. Created by Pierre Lavalée as a child, this private garden has evolved over time to become a space rich in botanical diversity. Classified as a "Remarkable Garden" in 2015, it offers an immersion in different thematic gardens, presenting varied atmospheres and climates, such as a large rockery, a Mexican desert, and an English garden.

Among the garden's treasures, the tropical greenhouse transports visitors to an exotic atmosphere, housing plants from Australia and New Zealand, as well as tropical butterflies in semi-freedom. The garden is also renowned for its Pulmonaria collection, offering a remarkable palette of foliage and blooms. The various spaces are carefully designed with paving and low walls, creating winding paths revealing surprises at every turn.
The Jardin du Beau Pays is the result of the passion and dedication of its creator, who continues to maintain and develop this place funded by admission fees and plant sales. In addition to the tour, visitors can enjoy the Botanist's Café, a garden-themed gift shop, and a nursery specializing in perennial plants.
