Huge! Gigantic! Titanic!
There is no shortage of superlatives at the sight of the new symbol of our region! Be careful, only the most daring will be able to approach, we cannot advise you enough twice to keep the animals at a distance...
If we are the XXL-sized territory, the Dragon of Calais is at the top of the ranking to make you experience your emotions on a grand scale, and not only! 10 meters high and 25 meters long, the Dragon of Calais watches over the city with its most imposing size. This true colossus, more alive than nature, is a steel and wood construction sculpted by the team of the artist François Delaroziere, recognized for his contribution to the oh so poetic and universal art of Urban Theater. The author imagined this figure especially for the Calais territory, at the same time Dragon of the seas, of earth, of fire and of air, it spits its flame, smoke and water in different forms. As a worthy guardian of treasures, it insinuates itself perfectly between local culture, rich heritage and seaside pleasures.
Attention, souvenir sequence and incomparable photo session: we climb along the tail of the Dragon before embarking on the covered panoramic platform integrated into its back and we set off on a journey to the rhythm of this fantastic mechanical animal.

The art of urban theatre accessible to all
The philosophy of these monumental machines is essentially based on the universal language of emotion. The extraordinary dimensions that directly echo our tradition of the giants of the north are not insignificant. They plunge everyone back into nostalgia, offering the opportunity to rediscover their childlike soul and share intergenerational memories. The spectacle of the dragon's journey that is part of the teeming life of the beach is completely free and many people regularly come to greet the great saurian.
On board, the trip is paid but offers a complete guided tour with a breathtaking viewpoint, making this creature a real mobile belvedere. History of the Dragon of Calais, commentary on the heritage and history of the city, 45 minutes allow you to have a wonderful experience of the territory, to the rhythm of the beating of the dragon's wings...
