It is distinguished by its eclectic programming that includes shows by local and international companies, as well as its own productions. The site also encourages artistic creation through artist residencies and participatory workshops open to the public.
In addition to its main performance hall, Le Channel has several spaces suitable for small or large-scale performances, including a large hall, rehearsal studios, and multi-purpose rooms. This configuration allows it to offer an immersive and varied experience to its audience.
The Channel plays an important role in the cultural life of Calais and contributes to the liveliness of the town through regular events which attract not only local residents but also visitors from the region and beyond.
