Starting from Espace Futurum in Bonningues-lès-Calais, the circuit joins the hamlet of Lot then the Sainte-Marguerite path, runs alongside the Bois de la Folie and the A16 access road, before returning to the village via a hilly road passing in front of the Saint-Pierre church.

Towards the hills, along the coast to return to Boulonnais, the picturesque villages reveal their treasures to you!

The TGV line

The railway line visible along part of the hiking trail leads to Calais-Fréthun station, located in the town of Fréthun, seven kilometers from Calais, near the Channel Tunnel and the Eurotunnel terminal at Coquelles. Opened in 1993, replacing the old Fréthun station, it is served by TGV and TER regional trains, including the TER GV to Lille, and also has a dedicated freight yard. The station, situated at an altitude of 23 meters, is unique in that it actually comprises two separate stations, each specializing in either international or national service.

St. Peter's Church

Located in the center of the village, the church dates back to the 12th century. Only the chancel remains visible today of the original structure; the entire building was rebuilt in 1629, primarily using flint, in the Flemish style. The church has undergone several renovations and consolidation work since the late 1940s. It is distinguished by its unique stained-glass windows, installed after the Second World War, which depict episodes from the lives of saints and kings of France: Saint Hubert or Saint Louis on the Crusades, Saint Remigius baptizing Clovis, Louis XIII consecrating France to Mary, and Saint Joan of Arc at the coronation of King Charles VII. They were restored in 1993.
