A stroll along the water

Boarding from the Rhine quayside in the heart of the city, the Majest'in first sails along Calais-Nord, where stands the Citadel, a remnant of the ramparts that once encircled the city. The canal then flows towards the Quai du Commerce, where the old Saint-Pierre, merged with Calais in 1885, left its industrial mark: the City of Lace and Fashion It occupies a former 19th-century factory and retraces the epic story of Calais lace, between workshop secrets and demonstrations of lace-making looms. A little further on, the Place CrèvecœurThe historic heart of the Saint-Pierre district, born from land ceded by the Crèvecœur family in the 19th century. The Majest'in then continues its journey to Coulogne, offering a unique perspective on this waterway that has shaped the land.

The canal, another face of slow tourism

The Majest'in adds a river dimension to the Imag'in network, which is entirely free, alongside the Balad'in in the city center and the Div'in towards Cap Blanc-Nez. Bicycles and scooters can be taken on board, allowing passengers to extend their ride once docked and explore further afield without a car. It's an unexpected way to experience Calais XXL from the water, in keeping with the same sustainable mobility approach that permeates the entire region.
