Visitor information

The tourism office

Whether you're here for a few hours or several days, our mission is clear: to help you fully enjoy everything that Calais has to offer. Between cliffs and beaches, urban heritage and natural spaces, Calais XXL welcomes you to a region with many faces, where every visit begins with good advice.

A destination between land and sea

Our Tourist Office represents an entire region: Greater Calais Lands & SeasIt brings together 14 municipalities with contrasting landscapes, between coastline, wetlands, agricultural areas and city center. As visitors, you find yourself here in a borderland, facing England, anchored in the industrial history of the North and today engaged in a dynamic cultural and tourist industry.

Our teams support this diversity. Whether you wish walk the paths of Cap Blanc-Nez, stroll through the Calais market, visit the Cité de la Dentelle or discover the contemporary installations on the seafront, We are here to guide you, suggest things to you, and sometimes surprise you.

Three places to welcome you

We welcome you to three different sites depending on the time of year, each directly linked to the points of interest surrounding it. You can go to the one closest to your place of stay or visit.

In each office you will find maps, guides, ideas for outings, suggestions tailored to your profile (alone, as a couple, with family, by bike, etc.), as well as a welcome designed to save you time on your journeys and detours around the region.

Calais the square

In Calais

In Calais, in the heart of the city center, a stone's throw from the train station, the town hall and its belfry, this is where you will find the main space of the Office. A team is present there all year to advise you on exhibitions, walks, shows and good deals not to be missed.

Sangatte Blériot-Plage

In Blériot-Plage, from June to the end of August, A seasonal office welcomes you by the sea. Ideal for beach stays (especially if you opt for the nearby campsites), kitesurfing enthusiasts, or families exploring the coast.

Stopovers

In Escalles, at the foot of Cap Blanc-Nez, our information point awaits you in season from the end of June to the end of August, with an emphasis on nature walks, walking and cycling tours, and landscape discoveries of the Grand Site de France des Deux-Caps.
